PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Listen to Audio
I provide professional development for private and charter schools that may face challenges accessing the resources needed to effectively support students with disabilities. My work with both general education and learning support teachers focuses on inclusive classroom management strategies, particularly for those with ADHD, Autism, low vision, and those who display challenging behaviors.
I specialize in Universal Design for Learning (UDL), an inclusion focused approach to instruction. And support teachers in thoughtfully integrating social-emotional learning and executive functioning skills into their existing lessons to better meet the needs of neurodiverse learners.
Professional development offerings can be tailored to meet the needs of the school and may be delivered schoolwide, by department or grade-level, for administrators only, or through individualized one-on-one support. I also collaborate closely with psychological and educational assessors to support evaluations when requested.
In addition, I consult with schools to determine appropriate placements for neurodiverse students and to develop personalized learning plans that align with each student’s strengths and needs. Professional development sessions include a range of practical materials and resources, as well as continued consultation for a set period following the training to support implementation and followup.
