Functional Living

FUNCTIONAL LIVING

Functional living skills are the everyday skills related to personal care, safety, and community participation that support an individual in living as independently as possible.

I work closely with families to identify which skills are most important for their child to develop whether they are preparing to transition out of the secondary education setting or navigating early adulthood.

Support typically takes place in the home or community, where I assess the students needs, and collaborate directly with the family and the student to create and implement a personalized plan.
